Brooke Lawrie

It's safe to say that Brooke has worked for every bike shop in Brisbane worth knowing over the last "20" years.

"I've moved around for various reasons but the main one is the continual search for knowledge and learning. I like to watch how other mechanics work and if you're passionate about this field, you never stop learning." Other reasons include being sold between shops as well as Spider Bite and a hernia.

Brooke is passionate about cycling from every angle! Racing is his main love, though Brooke wants to enlighten people as to the benefits of embracing it as a lifestyle.
Introducing kids to it and being able to share it as a family sport just brings more positives to commuting on a healthy, safe and inexpensive option.

Brooke's biggest goal at NFB is to be an accessible and open source of information. In this he hopes he can help to remove any impediments people mave have to pedalling:)

"New Farm is a very cycling oriented community and within that, the Road bike category is well represented. It reminds me of my time working (Melbourne) at CBD cycles, except for the bad weather. You've got a great cafe culture plus the River walk. Just more and more reason to be able to live a car-free life which is really a care free life, isn't it?
